Shortly before the birth of my first child I was diagnosed with an intolerance to gluten, on top of my life long allergy to dairy products. This led me to study  labels more carefully and to eat mainly natural, unprocessed foods. What started off being a huge hassle actually turned out making a huge difference to my health and feeling of well being!

This led me to become a more "aware" consumer - to think more carefully about the food I buy, the things I put on and next to my skin and my use of the world's limited resources. With the birth of my 3 precious children this became even more important. Not only do our children's fragile, growing bodies need the highest quality nutrition and products which will not harm them; but we parents as consumers need to make decisions that help ensure the world we pass on to our children is as undamaged as we can leave it.

In making the decision that my family was going to live as naturally as possible I had resigned us to living a life of boring beige. My first attempts to buy non-food organic products were not successful. It was hard to find quality, variety, colour, fun - all the things you want in your kids' clothes!

And so began my long search for organic clothes that my kids (and me) would love. It became obvious from talking to friends that there was a demand for organic clothes and products but it was hard to find a selection all in one place, and hard to find anything above a size 2 - it took a lot of research and time to locate the products I was already buying for my family!

And so mini eco was born - to bring you a world of eco-friendly baby and children's products, all in one place! Our goal is to bring you the best organic and fair trade products from around the world.
